Add a room to an event
You can add meeting rooms and other resources, like projectors, to your event.
Note: This is only available if you got your Google Account through your work, school, or other group. If your account ends in @gmail.com, learn how to create a calendar for a room or shared space instead.
Add a room
- On your computer, open Google Calendar.
- Create a new event or open an existing one.
- On the right side of the page, click Rooms. If you don't see the Rooms link, learn how to create a calendar for a room or shared space instead.
- Click the room or resource you want to add.
- Click Save.
Note: The "Suggested rooms" list is based on rooms you and your guests have booked in the past.
Remove a room
- On your computer, open Google Calendar.
- Click the event in your calendar.
- In the "Participants" list, find the room or resource.
- Next to the room or resource, click Remove .
- Click Save.
A room is declining my events
- Recurring events: Make sure the room is available for at least one third of the events, and isn't unavailable more than 5 times.
- Single events: Ask your administrator to change the sharing options for the room to "See all event details," or to give you permission to book the room.
